Chanel Blurry Green (318) Eyeshadow Quad Review & Swatches

Blurry Green (318)

Chanel Blurry Green (318) Les 4 Ombres Multi-Effect Quadra Eyeshadow ($62.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a new quad that features two more golden shades and two deeper, more contrasting shades of black-brown and forest green. I’ve seen the quad say sold out and then pop back in stock, and the website doesn’t list it as limited edition, so my expectation is that it should reappear at some point (hopefully sooner rather than later). Makes one wonder why there aren’t more green palettes if they can’t keep it in stock, eh? Those who like Chanel’s eyeshadow formula in general will likely enjoy the formula of this quad, which was silky and smooth with good pigmentation and wear. All four shades had some shimmer to them, but they were more satin to pearl in sheen.

Blurry Green #1

Blurry Green #1 is a light, golden copper with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It straddled that tone between gold and copper, but it seemed too warm to be a gold! The texture was smooth and silky without being powdery in the pan. It had opaque pigmentation that adhered well to bare skin and blended out easily. This shade stayed on well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Blurry Green #2

Blurry Green #2 is a blackened-brown with subtle, warm olive undertones and a satin finish. It had opaque color payoff in a single layer paired with a soft, lightly dusty consistency that was smooth and silky to the touch. The eyeshadow applied well to bare skin and blended out without issue. The color started to show signs of fading after seven and a half hours of wear.

Blurry Green #3

Blurry Green #3 is a medium-dark, forest green with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It was richly pigmented and applied evenly to bare skin. The texture was smooth, silky, and blendable without being too firmly nor too softly pressed. It lasted well for eight hours on me before fading noticeably.

Blurry Green #4

Blurry Green #4 is a medium-dark, golden brown with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The pigmentation was semi-opaque but buildable, while the texture felt soft, silky, and finely-milled but slightly dusty to the touch. This shade applied evenly and blended out nicely along the edges. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me before I noticed any fading.
