ColourPop Lilac You a Lot Palette Review & Swatches
Lilac You a Lot
Colour Pop Lilac You a Lot 9-Pan Pressed Powder Palette ($12.00 for 0.36 oz.) is a new addition to ColourPop’s monochromatic palette series–it features a lilac theme (duh). It was definitely cooler-toned compared to the It’s My Pleasure palette. I think that they could have gone full-on, cool-toned only shades of lilac and purple, though, because the shades that were most overlapping were the warmer-toned shades, like Ghostin’ (Kittenfish) and Wake Me (Do or Dough).
Overall, the products performed consistently with past releases from the brand. The mattes run a little powdery but were pigmented, blendable, and wore between seven and eight hours. The shimmers were fairly smooth, a little creamy, and had good pigmentation, though I found Fluff to be on the chunky side and better with a dampened brush or fingertip. When I worked with the palette, I could have used at least one deeper shimmer.
Cloud
Cloud is a pale lavender with warmer, pink undertones and a gold, frosted finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff that applied well to bare skin and blended out without difficulty. The texture was smooth, dense without being too firmly-pressed in the man, and had some slip, which helped the larger sparkles bind with the rest of the powder. It stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$4.50/0.05 oz. - $90.00 Per Ounce
The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

Imagine That
Imagine That is a medium, rosy mauve with subtle, cool undertones and a mostly matte finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque in a single pass, which was easily built up to full coverage with less than half of a layer. The texture was soft, finely-milled, and a smidgen powdery in the pan, but it blended out well without losing its intensity. It wore well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

Ghostin'
Ghostin’ is a medium lavender with warm, pink undertones and a mostly matte finish. It had the finest, barely-there shimmer that I could see in the close-up swatch photo but not in person at all.
It had a smooth, velvety consistency that had enough substance to it that helped weigh it down and minimized fallout while ensuring nearly opaque coverage that retained its intensity when applied and blended out. It lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit on my lid.

The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Wake Me
Wake Me is a brighter, light-medium, pink-lavender with warmer, pink undertones and blue-to-violet shifting shimmer. It had a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was thin without being too stiff to work with. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer and stayed on well for eight hours on me.

Fluff
Fluff is a medium lavender with neutral-to-warm undertones and a chunky, sparkling finish. It seemed more loosely-pressed in the pan, and there was a chunkiness present that made it harder to apply with a dry brush. I’d recommend using a dampened brush or a fingertip to apply, which helped the product adhere more smoothly and minimized fallout.
It had nearly full color payoff in a single layer (even dry). The color started to show signs of fading after eight hours of wear, and there was a touch of fallout over time.

Trainwreck
Trainwreck is a light lavender with cool undertones and a frosted finish. The color payoff was good, though it needed a bit of extra on top for full coverage. The texture felt smooth, lightly emollient, and it was a bit denser and thicker, though I didn’t have issues applying it to bare skin. It would be smoother if applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush, though. There was noticeable fading after eight hours of wear and very slight fallout over time.

Zoned Out
Zoned Out is a light-medium lavender with subtle, cool undertones and a matte finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was soft, lightly powdery with a bit of fallout during application if I wasn’t careful, but the eyeshadow blended out easily and retained most of its intensity. It stayed on nicely for seven and a half hours on me before fading visibly.

Iffy
Iffy is a medium purple with cooler undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color coverage that applied evenly and blended out nicely on my skin. I was actually impressed by how blendable and easy to work with the color was as these bluer-based purples are often drier. The consistency was soft, a little dusty in the pan, but it wasn’t prone to sheering out. It wore well for eight and a half hours and left a pinkish stain behind.

Filtered
Filtered is a medium purple with warm, pink undertones and a semi-matte finish. There was a smattering of fine, gold shimmer throughout, but it functioned and appeared like a matte finish applied to my lid. The texture was moderately powdery, so I would recommend tapping off excess and gently pressing and patting onto skin first, then blending it out. It had nearly opaque color coverage that was buildable on bare skin. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.
