Dior Taupe Ispahan (076) Diorific Lipstick ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a subdued, darker reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and a luminous, cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single stroke, which delivered even, smooth coverage with a formula that softened and smoothed out most of my lip lines. It was also quite forgiving of imperfections in lip texture!

The consistency was lightweight, emollient and thinner without being clingy. It stayed on nicely for five hours and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "high-color" and "long-hold." The shades were typically semi-opaque to opaque, though it depended on the shade as some were overly emollient, which resulted in sheerer, more uneven coverage. Most shades were smooth, lightweight, and creamy without being too slippery, so they applied evenly, softened the look of lip lines, and were comfortable to wear.

They lasted between four and six hours and felt hydrating while worn. The formula was floral-scented with a very slight taste at times, though I did not consistently taste it.

Dior Midnight Corolle (077) Diorific Lipstick ($40.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a rich plum with cooler undertones and a luminous sheen. It had medium to semi-opaque, buildable color coverage, but it was never fully opaque.

The texture was moderately emollient with more slip than others I’ve tried in the formula, which resulted in less even application of color and product settling more noticeably into my lip lines. This shade wore well for four and a half hours and was moisturizing while worn.
