Environmental pollutants have become a key concern for many consumers, leading to a slew of skin-care products that protect against pollution. While the trend started in the Asian market, U.S. shoppers are jumping on the bandwagon with 29 percent of female skin-care consumers stating environmental claims are important to them when purchasing products, according to a Mintel study from September 2017.
