Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 is Here!
It’s that time of the year: Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale kicks off 7/12 for cardholders and will be open to everyone on July 20th. The sale lasts through August 5th! I’m a long-time, loyal Nordstrom customer, and I always look forward to the sale–it’s when I try to do the “bulk” of my clothing shopping while also picking up some of the beauty exclusives. (You can peruse a recap of Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale Beauty Exclusives here.)
Here are some of the things I have my eye this year, based on what was shown in the catalog… would love to hear what you’re hoping to try or purchase! Edited: Updated with what I actually bought! And of course, I made it a triple points day…
Nordstrom Beauty Exclusives
Here’s what I ended up purchasing with respect to the beauty exclusives! I’m most looking forward to the Charlotte Tilbury’s Pretty Glowing Skin Palette (have really enjoyed her cheek products in the past) and am curious to see how it performs since it’s quite a big palette for the brand. Though my mom is about 0% interested in beauty except as much as it relates to Temptalia (then she’s all ears), she has a deep affinity for La Mer’s original moisturizer (and no, Nivea, neither US nor European version, was a total dupe for her, though she’d have been happy to have the cheaper option!); all that is to say, I bought La Mer’s The Mini Miracles Collection for her to try.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Picks
I do the majority of my clothing shopping during Nordstrom’s anniversary sale, so it’s usually a big haul for me… I wasn’t sure about this year’s sale but ended up getting caught up in the pink moment that seems to be happening in fall fashion. I managed to resist the Badgley Mischka Coat (living in Arizona makes it hard to justify a new coat that’ll be worn a few days a year) that had me drooling. It does, in fact, get cool in the winter, so I snagged Leith’s Ribbed Shawl Cocoon Sweater in a pretty pink.
I loved the Halogen Jersey Funnel Neck Top I got last year (in teal) — I find it draws attention to my waist, and while I’m not big on turtlenecks myself, this is just shy and doable — so I was pleased to see it again this year. I’m excited to see if the CeCe Tipped Bow Neck Sweater balances between cute and elegant on me. Similarly, I’m on the fence on how flattering the Halogen Scallop Edge Sweater will be on me, but I’ve had good luck with the brand, and I like the way it looks on the model.
I’ve always wanted to try Tory Burch Ballet Flats (I mostly wear flats), and last year, I picked up a pair of Tory Burch pumps and sandals, which I’ve enjoyed since, so this year’s damage was on a pair in seashell pink.
