Best Pat McGrath Eyeshadow Palettes of All Time (Well, So Far)
Pat McGrath Eyeshadow Palettes are an indulgence, no doubt about that, and so picking the right palette to purchase can require some deliberation! To date, the brand has launched five full-sized Mothership (10-pan) palettes that retail for a wallet-numbing $125 along with six smaller MTHRSHP (six-pan) palettes that retail for $55, which only feels like a bargain because it’s PMG. My personal favorite is Decadence, which released last holiday season and was limited edition (totally sold out now).
The newest Bronze Seduction Mothership palette will be back soon, per PMG’s website, though the special edition in collaboration with the Met is available now. Of all of the larger Mothership palettes, Bronze Seduction felt the most cohesive, and it was also the most “wearable” by traditional standards. (Decadence, on the other hand, is intensely shimmery and likely less cohesive solely because of that.) When I first saw the palette, it didn’t resonate with me, but in person and with how sparkly/shiny it goes on, it’s a holiday winner (very holiday).
The newly-released Metalmorphosis MTHRSHP palette also earned my personal stamp approval this holiday season between the quality, texture, and how everything looked once applied and with how well it pairs with the larger Subversive Mothership palette.
