Ali Goldstein Appointed President, L’Oréal Paris USA

Ali Goldstein has been appointed president of L’Oréal Paris USA, effective Oct. 1. She succeeds Tim Coolican, who held the position since early 2017 and is exiting L’Oréal. Goldstein has been with L’Oréal for 18 years, starting in L’Oréal Paris hair color and moving through several roles in the company’s consumer products division. She’s also held positions as vice president of marketing for Maybelline and senior vice president of marketing for Garnier. Most recently, Goldstein was the general manager of new ventures and acquisitions for the L’Oréal USA Consumer Products Division. “Ali is a strategic leader who I am confident will continue to grow L’Oréal Paris across all categories,” wrote Nathalie Gerschtein in an e-mail. “Her commitment to innovation has had a long-standing impact on our teams and our business. We are thrilled to have her at the helm of our largest brand in the U.S.” L’Oréal has had a series of leadership shake-ups in the U.S. market recently. A few weeks ago, the company said Stéphane Rinderknech would take over for Frédéric Rozé as president and chief executive officer of L’Oréal USA.
