Viseart Dark Edit Eyeshadow Palette Swatches

Viseart Dark Edit Eyeshadow Palette ($39.00 for 0.42 oz.) is the newest addition to the Edit series of palettes. It features a mix of shades from the following palettes: Dark Mattes, Grande Pro Vol. 2, Absinthe, Soleil, and Siren. I’m still waiting to hear back from the brand on which shades are from which palette, but I’ve tried to line-up the shades as best I could based on the original palettes, and the only shade I didn’t feel lined up with those four palettes was Foret, which is greener than Dark Matte #10 and bluer than the deepest shade in Absinthe. I noticed that the actual pans in the Dark Edit palette appear much richer/darker compared to the pans in my Dark Mattes palette, despite the swatches being quite close.

Also worth noting, when I opened up the flap of the palette, there’s a small sticker that says “Professional Pigment Palette,” instead of “Eye Shadow Palette,” which is what it says on the box it came in. The ingredient list says that shades may contain Red No. 28 and Red No. 34, which are both color additives that are often found in “Pigment”-marketed products and are not approved for usage on the immediate eye area by FDA (but are permitted in the EU via CosIng). I will try to get more clarity on the specific shades actually fall under that criteria (my best guess is Lavender and possibly a couple of others).
