Revlon Plum Baby Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and cooler, ultra-fine pearl that gave it a luminous sheen. It had buildable coverage from medium to semi-opaque in two layers, while the texture was lightweight, emollient and almost balm-like, but thin and not overly slippery, so it didn’t slide around while worn. It lasted well for four hours and was moisturizing while worn.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "lightweight color and moisturizing shine" with "buildable color payoff" and a "gliding, smooth application." It's a good formula for those who like medium, buildable coverage with a smooth, balmy consistency that glides across lips easily but doesn't feel too slippery while worn.

They're comfortable to wear with light hydration but tend to wear a shorter length of time--anywhere from two to four hours with a couple of shades reaching a little beyond four hours. What I like most about the formula is the finish: it's luminous and more smoothing, so it's kinder to lips with imperfection or prone to dryness/flaking. The formula has slip but doesn't have any heaviness or slickness that makes it prone to getting into lip lines.

Revlon Mauvy Night Super Lustrous Lipstick ($8.49 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark mauve with neutral undertones and a natural sheen with very paint pearl. It had buildable coverage from semi-opaque to opaque (two layers) that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without dragging. The texture was lightweight, thin without feeling clingy, and sat well on my lips. This shade stayed on nicely for four and a half hours and felt hydrating over time.
