Charlotte Tilbury Green Lights Eyeshadow Quad ($53.00 for 0.18 oz.) might have a new name, but it is The Rebel (2020) — the brand actually discloses that in the product’s description (which I didn’t bother to read so fool me once…!). It’s an odd move given that The Rebel (2020) debuted recently, so I don’t know why they wouldn’t have kept it the same, went with the “Green Lights” name, etc., especially since it ended up being nothing like the original The Rebel quad…

I can safely confirm–with a foolish purchase of $53–that this quad performed consistently with The Rebel (2020). I felt like the shimmer in #3 seemed to recede a little more into the base pigment in this iteration, but when applied to the lid, they seemed more similar. #4 seemed just barely warmer-toned in this quad.

Green Lights #1 is a rich, medium-dark gold with moderate, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and blendable without being too thick or too dense in the pan. It adhered evenly to bare skin with opaque coverage in a single. The eyeshadow stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Green Lights #2

Green Lights #2 is a medium-dark olive green with muted, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had excellent pigmentation that adhered well to bare skin with a smooth, even lay down of color. The texture felt soft to the touch, lightly creamy, and dense without being too firmly pressed into the pan. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.

Green Lights #3 is a dirty, olive gold with muted, warm undertones and a sparkling finish. It had rich color payoff paired with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that wasn’t too dense nor too thick, so it wasn’t powdery but remained blendable on bare skin. It had a lot more pigmentation than typical Pop shades have in the past, though it was less emollient/sparkly as well. It lasted well for eight and a half hours before showing signs of fading.

Green Lights #4 is a medium-dark, khaki brown with muted, warm undertones and flecks of micro-sparkle over a matte finish. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin and blended out well but there was a bit of fallout during application. The texture was soft without being too powdery and maintained its intensity when applied to bare skin. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably, and there was a touch of fallout over that time period as well.
