Charlotte Tilbury Mesmerising Maroon Eyeshadow Quad ($53.00 for 0.18 oz.) is a new, limited edition, rosy-hued quad that features three shimmery shades and one matte. All four shades performed well with the third shade having a bit of fallout during application and during wear, whereas the other three were very pigmented, blendable, and easy to work with.

Mesmerising Maroon #1

Mesmerising Maroon #1 is a light-medium peach with strong, warm undertones and a bright, metallic sheen. It was intensely pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy texture that was dense without being too firmly-pressed into the pan nor was it thick when applied to bare skin. The eyeshadow looked almost “melted” once applied to my lid. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

Mesmerising Maroon #2 is a rich, reddened plum with moderate, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which adhered evenly and smoothly to bare skin. The texture felt smooth, lightly creamy, and remained blendable on my skin. It stayed on well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly.

Mesmerising Maroon #3 is a light-medium, rosy copper with moderate, warm undertones and a sparkling finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in one layer, which was buildable to full coverage with less than half of a layer on top. The texture was smooth, despite how much sparkle was in it, and it didn’t feel as “wet” as other “Pop” shades have in the past, and it seemed to have a lot more binder and creaminess to it overall. It applied evenly to bare skin with a smidgen of fallout during blending. this shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably and had a touch of fallout over time.

Mesmerising Maroon #4 is a muted, medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The texture was soft, velvety, and silky to the touch–it almost felt cream-like for how smooth it was–with a smidgen of dustiness in the pan but not something that impacted the performance. It had opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to my lid and blended out with ease. The color wore nicely for eight hours before fading noticeably.
