Revlon Sparkling Quartz, Beaming Strawberry, Glossed Up Rose Melting Glass Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Sparkling Quartz (001)
Revlon Sparkling Quartz (001) Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick ($9.99 for 0.15 oz.) is a colorless base with a fine, white pearl throughout that added subtle luminosity to the lips without adding color. It had “sheer coverage” from the shimmer/sheen, but this particular shade was designed to be “clear” per the brand.
This is for those who want something that’s like a lip balm with a little more shimmer to it but doesn’t have the feel or full-on shine of a true gloss. It had a creamy, melt-on-your-lips consistency that was lightweight and moderately emollient but didn’t feel overly slippery while worn. It lasted two to three hours (hard to tell since it was clear!) and felt hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "brilliant color with major payoff" with an "amazingly buttery feel that instantly melts onto your lips for glass-like shine." The coverage was more medium to semi-opaque, often buildable to a minor degree, so I don't know that I'd call it "major payoff," the coverage was noticeable and allowed for real differentiation from shade to shade as they weren't so sheer that they ran together.
The consistency has an incredibly creamy, smooth feel that definitely melts on the lips but seems to "set" subtly, which seemed to tamp down the slip slightly, though it was still moderately emollient on my lips. I'd recommend being more conscious of using one layer or so as it can be easy to over-apply due to how much it feels like it's melting against one's lips.
The finish was definitely glass-like; very shiny and gave the illusion of volume to my lips. I found that there was some color that settled into lip lines or caught on minor imperfections with some shades, though the shine made it harder to notice in person. I imagine if you like grab-and-go color that's glossy with medium coverage or greater color that's easy to apply and re-apply, this formula could be a match.
The formula had a subtle, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste. The biggest "con" to the formula was the packaging, which was industrially-wrapped with a very tacky sticker that was not just difficult to remove to open the lipstick to begin with but difficult to get all of the tackiness off. I'd recommend using a sharp knife/blade (safely!) to cut across the sticker, then twist the cap off rather than removing the sticker at all.

Beaming Strawberry (002)
Revlon Beaming Strawberry (002) Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick ($9.99 for 0.15 oz.) is a brighter pop of medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly over my lips but a bit of product pulled into my deeper lip lines.
The consistency felt smooth, creamy, and melted against my lips during application, but it seemed to “set” a touch and didn’t feel quite as slippery after a minute or so of wear (but never fully set!). It stayed on well for three and a half hours and felt moisturizing while worn.

Glossed Up Rose (003)
Revlon Glossed Up Rose (003) Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick ($9.99 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark pink with moderate, warm undertones and a glossy, cream finish. It had good pigmentation in a single layer, though it wasn’t full coverage. The more melting, creamy texture made it harder to build up the coverage beyond what was initially delivered.
Thankfully, there was a slight set to the formula that minimized some of that initial slip, which made it easier to wear (but still comfortable) as it didn’t slide around while worn. It wore nicely for three and a half hours and felt hydrating over time.
