Tom Ford Summer 2020 Lip Colors Reviews & Swatches (Part 1 of 2)

Tom Ford Beauty Empire Lip Color ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark pink-coral with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single, which applied fairly evenly to my lips without tugging on them during application.

The texture was lightweight, lightly creamy without being too thin or too dense, but it didn’t sit as well on my lips as other shades in the formula have. I noticed a smidgen of separation along my lip lines in the close-up photos, though it didn’t seem apparent in person. It stayed on well for four and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed have an "ultra-creamy texture" with "smooth application" that will deliver "pure color." The lipstick tends to have semi-opaque to opaque coverage with a natural to luminous finish with some shades with very fine pearl and others with more metallic shimmer. The consistency is typically creamy, lightweight, and has moderate slip, which makes it comfortable to wear and to apply but is not the most long-lasting lipstick formula. The wear tends to range between four and six hours with some shades performing above and below that range. There's a vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Tom Ford Beauty Insatiable Lip Color ($55.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a muted, medium coral with moderate, warm undertones and a satin finish. The pigmentation had good color payoff in a single layer, though it was just shy of full opacity.

The consistency was smooth, lightly creamy, and emollient without feeling like it slid around during wear. There was a touch of product that settled into my deeper lip lines but wasn’t visible to my eye in person (just in the close-up photos). It wore nicely for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
