Lethal Cosmetics Hive Collection Reviews & Swatches (Part 2 of 2)
Spawn
Lethal Cosmetics Spawn Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep copper with strong, warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. The texture felt smooth, velvety, and finely-milled so there didn’t appear to be fallout, though I could see some fine dusty flyaway as I applied the product to bare skin. It had opaque pigmentation that adhered evenly to bare skin and did not sheer out too readily. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.06 oz. - $100.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have "extreme pigmentation" and "effortless blendability" ... "that [will] last all day." There are two primary finishes: mattes and metallics, and the latter can also be used wet.
The matte finish has semi-opaque to opaque color coverage with moderate powderiness; it's a formula that is best used with a lighter hand. There was light fallout with some shades, though not at all, and they were blendable for the most part. Even with a light hand, there was still a bit of powderiness present--the brand did warn about using less with their formula--in the pan.
There were a few darker shades that had a tendency to sheer out when applied or did not apply as evenly, especially when layered over a lighter shade but most of the mid-tone and lighter shades were easy to apply and blend out. As a result, I found myself having better results by going dark to light rather than light to dark (which is more in line with how I typically work).
The metallic finish ranged from creamier, denser, and a bit thicker to softer, dense but still a little powdery (usually the lighter, more white-based shades). They were mostly opaque to fully opaque in a single layer, so they didn't need to be applied with a wet brush to achieve coverage or adhesion. I found that some of the more powdery, shimmery shades were more flattering on the lid when used with a fingertip or a dampened brush, though.
The matte eyeshadows tended to wear around eight hours on me before fading, while the shimmer shades lasted eight to eight and a half hours on me.

Rebirth
Lethal Cosmetics Rebirth Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium, pink-plum with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The eyeshadow had opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly to bare skin when patted/pressed into place. The texture was smooth, lightly creamy, and dense but not too thick to work with, so it picked up readily with a dry brush. The color started to show signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Vertex
Lethal Cosmetics Vertex Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a bright, lime green with subtle, warm undertones and warmer, golden shimmer that gave it a metallic finish. It had good pigmentation in one layer, but it felt a bit too emollient so it did not apply as evenly as I would have liked. I found it necessary to apply by patting it onto the lid with a fingertip or a dampened brush for full, even opacity. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading visibly.

Lethal Cosmetics Recluse Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a light, olive green with strong, warm yellow undertones and a matte finish. The texture was smooth, finely-milled, and somewhat powdery in the pan, though it didn’t seem like it resulted in fallout during application, and the eyeshadow maintained its opacity when applied to bare skin. It lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

Lethal Cosmetics Habitat Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a medium, slightly olive-leaning green with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. There was light powderiness in the pan, but it wasn’t prone to sheering out too readily nor was to fallout. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading a bit.

Lethal Cosmetics Nocturnal Pressed Powder Shadow ($6.00 for 0.06 oz.) is a deep brown with cool undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent color coverage that adhered evenly and was blendable but had a tendency to sheer out a bit when applied, so it had to be built up or applied over primer. The consistency felt finely-milled and silky to the touch with light powderiness in the pan. It wore nicely for eight hours before fading a bit.
