Clionadh Crown Jewel & Lineage Vibrant Multichrome Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches
Crown Jewel
Clionadh Crown Jewel Vibrant Multichrome Eyeshadow ($12.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a rich, brighter medium blue with cool undertones and a metallic finish that shifted from gold to greenish-gold to blue. The shift was exactly as the brand described (“gold-turquoise-blue”), and the gold-to-green was most noticeable on the lid (the blue giving the eyeshadow a stronger sheen without the contrast of shimmer).
It had nearly opaque color coverage applied with a fingertip, which was easily blended to full coverage by evening out the application slightly. Applied with a dampened brush, it had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, though I was able to apply it with a dry brush and get semi-opaque, buildable coverage by pressing/patting into place. I was surprised at how little fallout there was, even with a dry brush, though a dampened brush had none at all.
The texture was soft, lightly creamy and smooth to the touch, but it was more loosely-pressed and definitely only needed a light touch to pick up product. The intense concentration of contrasting shimmer really was eye-catching in person because it was constantly shifting and reflecting, so it ended up being quite brightening applied. It stayed on well for nine hours before creasing slightly on me but didn’t seem to have fallout over time.

Formula Overview
$12.50/0.05 oz. - $250.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to have an "intense colour shifting reflect and colourful, saturated base" with more of a "small/medium particle" sparkle, and as a result, "behaves" similar to the brand's Glitter Multichromes.
For reference, the Glitter Multichromes have "varying levels of opacity" and sizes of sparkle (they do not contain plastic, or PET, glitter and are safe for eye-usage!). Per the brand, they recommend applying by patting it on with a fingertip or with a dampened brush along with using a tacky base ("glitter glue") for shades with larger particle sizes. They also warn to use a lighter hand with the formula and that there "may be some fallout while applying."
One of the nicer aspects of shopping indie brands is that they often provide more detailed information about how to apply their products and address potential short-comings, e.g. Clionadh mentions that there may be fallout during application, which is something rarely seen (generally).
The Vibrant Multichromes were very pigmented applied with a fingertip or with a dampened brush, though I had no trouble using a dry brush to pick up product and apply it, often getting semi-opaque to opaque coverage when I pressed/patted the shade into place--and I had minimal fallout.
For as sparkly and as softly-pressed as the formula was, I was actually surprised there wasn't more fallout. It was quite minimal to the degree that I didn't feel the need for clean-up--I just applied my foundation on top. You will want to use a lighter hand and do a more pressing motion, rather than swirling or jabbing motions, to pick up product.
The formula has a saturated base color along with contrasting shimmer/sparkle, and then there is a multichromatic shift. The shift wasn't as intense/noticeable as with the Jewelled Multichromes--which was as expected!--but I think that the Vibrant Multichromes can look more impressive because they really change at all angles between the moderate shift paired with the sparkle. They are extremely multidimensional shades, and because they don't have a more intense black base, they are very forgiving if you over-blend the edge/base.
They wore between eight and nine hours on me with minimal fading and fallout over time (tested over bare skin!).

Lineage
Clionadh Lineage Vibrant Multichrome Eyeshadow ($12.50 for 0.05 oz.) is a light, bluish-aqua base with subtle, cool undertones paired with a smooth, metallic sheen that shifted from pink to gold to green, which had the effect of warming up the base and giving it more of a greenish-aqua hue. When the pink was more visible, it appeared very light and bright. Per the brand, it is supposed to shift between “pearly pink-gold-lime,” which I felt was visible in person at a glance.
The texture was soft, smooth, and more loosely-pressed, so I’d recommend using a lighter hand when working with the product (which is how it’s marketed). It had opaque color payoff in a single layer when applied with a fingertip or a dampened brush with a smidgen of fallout when I used my fingertip, and those were the recommended methods of application.
I didn’t have any trouble working with the shade using a dry brush, only a touch more fallout during the initial application of color, but I still had nearly opaque coverage and a smooth, even application of product. The color stayed on well for nine hours before fading slightly.
