Gather Round Sisters
Colour Pop Gather Round Sisters 15-Pan Shadow Palette ($26.00 for 0.60 oz.) is a new, limited edition palette in collaboration with the Hocus Pocus franchise. The palette contains a mix of mattes, sparkle-over-mattes, shimmers, and one pressed glitter, and generally, it performed consistently with more recent ColourPop palette releases (which isn’t really a compliment).
I’m not a fan of ColourPop’s increasing commitment to including a smattering of larger sparkle particles in an otherwise matte finish; this finish just results in extra fallout, little that translates to the lid, and doesn’t really seem to add anything to the formula–they’re the kind of matte shades that are already blendable (sometimes a bit of shimmer can make a shade more blendable). There are four shades that fall under that finish in this palette.
The Pressed Glitter has finer particle glitter and seems to have more of a base color than it being purely made out of glitter particles. Four shades were matte and had lightly to moderately powdery texture with two shades being under-performing. The shimmers were more consistent, though I felt three of the five shimmers were on the drier side and were best applied with a dampened brush for the smoothest application of product. I have found that more recent shimmer eyeshadows from the brand have been drier, which can result a more frosted, textured appearance rather than smooth and more metallic.
Brew Potion contains plastic (PET) glitter, and it is not intended for the immediate eye area. Night of Frolic and Dead Man’s Toe are also not intended for use in the immediate area as they include color additives that are not approved for use on the eye area by the FDA but would be considered safe for the eye area by EU.

Full Moon
Full Moon is a light, buttery yellow with warm undertones and flecks of micro-sparkle over a matte finish. The texture was moderately powdery with sparkles that did not bind with the rest of the product, so they either got trapped in my brush or contributed to fallout during application–very few managed to stay on my skin. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer that wore decently for seven and a half hours on me.

Hello, Salem is a darker peach with moderate, warm undertones and a matte finish. It had excellent color coverage, but the consistency was quite powdery, which resulted in the product sheering out during application and having some fallout (even when I was careful to tap off excess). There were signs of fading present after seven and a half hours of wear.

Brew Potion
Brew Potion is a darker, golden bronze with warm undertones and a glittering finish. This shade was listed as “not intended” for the immediate eye area as it did contain plastic (PET) glitter particles. It had more of a base color, so it was quite pigmented in a single layer and had a more emollient consistency–this did help more of the particles actually adhere to skin and minimized the chance of fallout. I’m not comfortable wearing it on my eye area myself, so I tested it as a highlighter, and there were some stray particles after eight hours of wear.

On Toast is a light, golden brown with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had rich pigmentation with a soft, blendable texture that was moderately powdery with some fallout during application when blended out. It lasted for eight hours before fading a bit.

Coven
Coven is a medium-dark, reddish-brown with subtle, warm undertones and flecks of gold micro-sparkle over a matte finish. It had nearly opaque color payoff that could be built up to full coverage, though there was some fallout due to the more powdery texture as well as the sparkles that did not bind with the rest of the powder. The eyeshadow was blendable and wore for eight hours on me.

Come Little Children
Come Little Children is a light, golden taupe with warmer undertones and flecks of silver sparkle over a matte finish. The sparkles just made an eyeshadow that wouldn’t have been prone to fallout… have fallout, both during the initial application and during blending. The only upside was all of the sparkles fell out during application so there wasn’t additional fallout during wear! The base color had opaque coverage with a soft, blendable, and moderately powdery texture. It lasted for seven and a half hours on me before fading.

Thackery Binx
Thackery Binx is a medium, reddish-plum with subtle, warm undertones and a frosted finish. The consistency felt drier, more loosely-pressed, but it lacked the emollient slip I’ve come to expect from the brand’s shimmers. It did not improve with fingertip application–it had to be applied with a dampened brush, which helped to bind the powder together so that it would adhere evenly and smoothly to the lid.
Applied dry, it was patchy and had a fair amount of fallout. It had good pigmentation but instantly sheered out to more medium coverage due to the texture. It wore decently for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.

Yabbos is a deep, olive green with strong, warm undertones and a pearly sheen. It had excellent pigmentation with a soft, smooth consistency that wasn’t too firmly nor too softly pressed into the pan. The eyeshadow picked up well with a dry brush and had good, smooth adhesion. This shade lasted well for eight hours before showing signs of fading.

I Call It a Bus is a deep black with multi-colored, fine sparkle throughout. There were a few sparkles that translated to my skin when applied, but most of them got lost in my brush or dropped off my lid. The texture was soft, lightly powdery–though not as powdery as most more matte shades were in the palette–with opaque color payoff. It stayed on decently for eight hours before fading visibly.

Wench
Wench is a light, golden pewter with warm undertones and a metallic finish. It had opaque color coverage that adhered evenly to bare skin, but the texture was drier and more loosely-pressed–but powdery as a result–so it did not sit smoothly. I tried to apply it by pressing it on with a fingertip, but it just wasn’t enough to help the product bind together. I’d recommend using a dampened brush to get a smoother lay down of product. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading a bit.

The texture was moderately powdery, which resulted in the product sheering out a bit and some fallout–even when I was trying to avoid it the best I could. It was the most blendable shade, and I felt like I had to lay it down and barely blend the edges to avoid it lifting off or turning patchy. It stayed on for seven and a half hours before fading noticeably.

The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Night of Frolic

Dead Man's Toe
Dead Man’s Toe is a deeper, purple-berry with cooler undertones and a matte finish. It was fairly powdery with a drier, thin consistency that yielded more semi-sheer to medium coverage that was hard to build up. The first time I tried to use this palette, I used this in the crease, and it was a disaster. The product did not apply evenly, and the more I tried to build up the color, the less color that adhered at all.
There was so much fallout, too, and excess product kicked up in the pan. What little color translated to my skin stayed on for seven hours from what I could tell. I tried it over primer, too, and it was not much improved–slightly less sheerness but still similar application issues with respect to building up color and blending it out.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Dead Man's Toe

Bewitched
Bewitched is a medium-dark, olive green with warmer undertones and a matte finish. It had medium pigmentation that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage. The texture was lightly powdery, slightly drier, but it was blendable and easy enough to use. It wore well for eight hours before fading visibly on me.

Goodbye Cruel World is a blackened brown with subtle, warm undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was lightly creamy with some slip but still had opaque color payoff achieved in a single layer with a dry brush. It applied evenly and blended out without difficulty. This shade stayed on nicely for eight hours before showing signs of fading.
