NARS All Yours Air Matte Lip Color NARS All Yours Air Matte Lip Color ($26.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a satin finish. It applied and looked lighter than when swatched, and it also had a little more of a dry down on my lips than when swatched on my arm. It had nearly opaque pigmentation in a single layer, so it wasn’t as buildable as marketed.

The texture was lightweight, smooth, and velvety, which allowed it to spread well across my lips, and it felt lightweight and flexible while on. The color applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip texture, which was a surprise, but as the color wore away, it started to settle into my lip lines and gravitate toward texture imperfections. It lasted for closer to three and a half hours overall, but it looked notably less flattering after two and a half hours of wear. It wasn’t drying, though.

The formula is supposed to be "featherweight" with a "soft-focus finish" and a "creamy feel" that offers "buildable coverage," "soft matte finish," and "longwear." They're a smooth, more velvety-creamy consistency that go on evenly and feel lightweight, but they were quite pigmented and not particularly long-wearing.

I think the lack of longevity stemmed from the fact that the product sat on my lips without adhering particularly well, so they were quick to wear away, especially eating or drinking. They were flattering on for two to three hours, but they tended to look drier and emphasized lip lines/clung to any texture imperfections for the third or fourth hour of wear, but they didn't last much longer than that.

They were very pigmented, too; there's no way I'd have described the formula was buildable. One pull of product delivered near opaque to fully opaque coverage on my lips. To get more buildable coverage, one would have to apply significantly less products--likely just to the center of the lips--and then use a fingertip to diffuse the color outward, which is a technique to sheer out any pigmented lip product.

They were comfortable to wear, and while they looked drier toward the end of wear on, they didn't seem drying in formula. They had a light vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

NARS Shag Air Matte Lip Color NARS Shag Air Matte Lip Color ($26.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a muted, medium-dark pink with warmer undertones and a satin sheen. It had opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was a lot more coverage than marketed–though I’m sure some will prefer the higher coverage!

The texture was smooth, lightweight, and velvety with enough substance to apply evenly, though there was a bit of product that settled into my lip lines in the close-up photos that wasn’t visible to my eye in person. The product wore closer to four and a half hours, but it had worn away enough that it seemed to cling to imperfections and get into my lip lines noticeably (in person) after three hours of wear, but it wasn’t a drying formula to wear.
