ColourPop Metallic Colour Stix Reviews & Swatches (Part 1 of 2)
Warm Up
ColourPop Warm Up Metallic Colour Stix ($6.00 for 0.023 oz.) is a very light copper with moderate, warm undertones–slightly brownish–with a frosted finish. The texture had moderate glide without being overly emollient or too stiff to work with, though the larger sparkles made it harder to apply it evenly when layered.
It had semi-sheer pigmentation in a single layer, which was buildable to semi-opaque coverage. It was quick to dry down, so I’d recommend working one eye at a time and using a fluffy synthetic brush to diffuse the edges. It wore well for seven hours before creasing slightly on me.

Formula Overview
$6.00/0.023 oz. - $260.87 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to be "ultra pigmented" in "one swipe" while being "long wearing" and "water-resistant." There are two finishes: matte and metallic, and the initial release included two shades from each finish, so the overview is based on those four shades, which is not a ton of shades to go off of!
One of the four pencils was drier, stiffer, and was prone to the point snapping off during application. The other three were creamier with the metallic shades being more emollient than the remaining matte shade. The pigmentation varied from shade to shade; it ranged from medium to opaque with some being more buildable than others.
The performance was more consistent with three of the four shades applying comfortably with somewhat even initial layers. They were blendable for five to 10 seconds before they dried down to more budge-proof finish. They didn't feel heavy or clingy on my lids, and while they were creamy, they did not feel slippery as they were drying down so they did not settle into fine lines or creases during the dry down.
I was able to apply them directly from the pencil to my eye area, but I found a brush gave me a more even application and helped me blend out the product without losing some of the coverage compared to application with a fingertip. The shades lasted between six and eight hours before creasing on me.

Cool Breeze
ColourPop Cool Breeze Metallic Colour Stix ($6.00 for 0.023 oz.) is a medium gold with muted, warm undertones and a metallic finish. It was slightly drier than the first version of this shade I tried a few weeks ago, though it was still emollient enough to glide across my skin without tugging. I just struggled to get a really even layer of product, and I found it was a little prone to emphasizing lid texture. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that creased after seven hours of wear.

Citrus Squeeze
ColourPop Citrus Squeeze Metallic Colour Stix ($6.00 for 0.023 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark gold with strong, warm orange undertones and a metallic sheen. The texture was smooth, emollient with good glide but not overly wet, which helped the pencil apply comfortably across the lid when used directly from the tube.
It had opaque color coverage in a single stroke, which applied evenly to my skin and blended out fairly readily. It lasted well for seven hours before creasing a bit; it was less emollient compared to the previous one I had.

Free Time
ColourPop Free Time Metallic Colour Stix ($6.00 for 0.023 oz.) is a bright, medium pink-coral base with lighter, peachy gold pearl throughout. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation with a smooth, glide-on consistency that was comfortable to apply all over the lid or as an eyeliner. It applied evenly and blended out without too much effort, but I’d recommend working one eye at a time. The color showed signs of fading after seven hours of wear.
