It had a more neon quality to the color, which was tempered slightly by the reddish pull.
The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and thin with more of a glide than a traditional creaminess, but the color accentuated and bunched around any imperfections on my lips. It had semi-opaque coverage that stayed on decently for four hours and felt non-drying.

The formula is supposed to "blur, smooth, and hydrate" with "intensity of a matte and the comfort of a cream" and delivers "ultra-pigment[ation]." The consistency reminded me of the more new-school "matte" formulas that feel velvety without wetness/shine--the ones that feel more silicone-heavy and primer-like, which are often thinner, too. I'd say that the new Rouge Artist formula has a little more traditional creaminess, so there was a satin shine (which was as marketed--satin finish!).

It was richly pigmented with full coverage delivered in a single stroke.
The lipstick had a lightweight consistency that was thin, more velvety with light creaminess, and comfortable to apply and to wear. The product didn’t accentuate my lip lines and lasted well for four and a half hours while it felt lightly hydrating over time

It had mostly opaque color coverage, though it didn’t adhere as well to the inner area of my lips as that was where it looked like it wasn’t opaque.
The product applied evenly and comfortably across my lips as it had light glide with little slip, which sat well and didn’t emphasize my lip texture. It wore nicely for five hours, left a faint stain behind, and felt lightly moisturizing over time.
