Terra Moons Duochrome Eyeshadows Reviews & Swatches (Part 1 of 3)

Bonfire

Terra Moons Bonfire Duochrome Eyeshadow ($8.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a medium red with warmer undertones and shimmer that shifted from peachy-copper to pinky-red paired with a metallic sheen. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a soft, more loosely-pressed consistency that worked best patted/pressed onto the lid, then blended out (rather than swept on). It wore nicely for eight hours before creasing slightly.

Formula Overview

$8.00/0.05 oz. - $160.00 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be "blendable" and "pigmented" with "a bit of kick up" when used due to being "pressed by hand." Some shades come with "additional information" such as being sheerer on the brand's website (for that particular shade) or to use a "glitter primer" due to the finish.

I found that some matte shades were more noticeably powdery than others, but whether there was just a little bit of powderiness or more noticeable powderiness really depended on a shade. The neon shades were the most powdery and hardest to work with on their own; some had more specific tips/guidance on how to work with them, which I felt was great for disclosure, but it could get hard to remember what shade needs to be applied in such and such fashion since it really did vary a lot shade by shade. The darker and less neon matte shades tended to perform the best for me--more pigmentation, better blendability, and were easier to work with and were more consistent.

Most shades--matte and more shimmery--were pigmented, easy to blend, and applied well to bare skin. They lasted between seven and eight hours with most closer to eight hours before fading (more of the mattes) or creasing (some of the more intense metallics).

Andromeda

Terra Moons Andromeda Duochrome Eyeshadow ($8.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a very light and bright pale pink with subtle, warm undertones that shifted to a darker, warmer pink with a hint of peachy-gold. It had a sparkling, high-shine finish that had light fallout during application but didn’t seem to have much fallout during wear.

The texture felt lightly emollient, soft and more fragile but not to the point of being hard to work with (just need to be mindful). It had mostly opaque, buildable coverage that lasted well for eight hours on me.

Harvest

Terra Moons Harvest Duochrome Eyeshadow ($8.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a light-medium, golden copper with warm, brownish undertones and a metallic finish. It was richly pigmented with a smooth, lightly creamy consistency that wasn’t too firmly nor too softly pressed into the pan.

I didn’t get much of a shift with this one; it just appeared a little lighter, more golden at an angle, but it was less of a shift than a reflective quality. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear.

Meteorite

Terra Moons Meteorite Duochrome Eyeshadow ($8.00 for 0.05 oz.) had more of a transparent base chocked full of peachy-gold shimmer that shifted between lighter gold and warmer gold with a pinkish edge. It had a sparkling, metallic finish that adhered evenly to bare skin but had light fallout during blending.

The texture felt lightly emollient to the touch, so it was smoother and soft enough to pick up with a dry brush but might be a product I’d use with a fingertip or a dampened brush due to the higher sparkle content. It had nearly opaque color coverage that stayed on well for eight hours before creasing visibly.

Charon

Terra Moons Charon Duochrome Eyeshadow ($8.00 for 0.05 oz.) had more of a transparent base with shimmer andd sparkle that looked like a light, bluish-silver and shifted to a warmer, white gold with almost pinkish edges.

The consistency felt lightly emollient to the touch, smooth and soft without being too loosely-pressed or too thick in the pan, though there was light fallout during blending. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation that lasted nicely for eight hours on me.

Mint Frosting

Terra Moons Mint Frosting Duochrome Eyeshadow ($8.00 for 0.05 oz.) is a vivid, medium green with subtle, cool undertones and a bright, metallic finish that seemed to shift between cooler and warmer green.

It had opaque color payoff that adhered evenly to bare skin and blended out well along the edges. The consistency felt smooth to the touch with light slip that helped it adhere well to bare skin. It stayed on well for eight hours before showing signs of wear.
