Lisa Eldridge Dragon Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss ($25.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark red-orange with warm undertones a high-shine, jelly-like finish as it had more translucency. It had medium color coverage, which did not apply as evenly as other shades and seemed to pull a bit into my deeper lip lines, though the lines themselves were softer/thinner than they normally appear and the settling wasn’t visible at a normal viewing distance (as compared to looking at a macro photo!).

The consistency was lightweight, smooth, and like a gel-like cream, as it spread comfortably but didn’t slide around too much during wear. It wore well for four hours and felt moisturizing while worn. The formula is supposed to have “light to medium” or “medium to high pigment” based on the shade, which could be indicated more clearly via verbiage, but it is apparent in the model shots, and this shade definitely was more light to medium in the model shots as well as what I experienced myself.

Formula Overview

$25.00/0.15 oz. - $166.67 Per Ounce

The formula is supposed to be a "medium to high pigment gloss" (depending on the shade; most are "medium" pigment) that leaves lips feeling "soft as silk" and hydrated. The consistency was more like a creamier gel, so it was comfortable, spreadable, and felt cushiony on my lips without being tacky or heavy. The coverage varied from shade to shade but ranged from medium to opaque but tended to be in line with how each shade was intended to be.

The glosses applied fairly evenly with minimal settling into my lip lines--the kind that is visible in the close-up photo but not in person. There's a lot of shine to them, which gave the illusion of slightly plumper lips, and it seemed a touch smoothing over time (an hour or longer). The formula was really comfortable and hydrating to wear, and it was one of the more hydrating formulas I've tried in awhile. There was no fragrance or taste.

Lisa Eldridge Cinnabar Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss ($25.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a deep, reddish-copper with a more muted quality to it paired with a high-shine, cream finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly and softened some of my lip lines. The consistency was smooth, plush, and non-sticky with a gel-cream feel, so it was spreadable and comfortable to wear without being heavy. It lasted well for four and a half hours on me and felt hydrating over time.

The formula is supposed to have “light to medium” or “medium to high pigment” based on the shade, which could be indicated more clearly via verbiage, but it is apparent in the model shots. On models, this shade appeared to have slight translucency but definitely not semi-sheer like most shades, and the level of opacity I achieved in one layer was comparable to model shots.

Lisa Eldridge Petal Gloss Embrace Lip Gloss ($25.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a medium-dark, rosy pink with soft, warm undertones and a high-shine, cream finish. It had medium to semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which applied fairly evenly on my lips, but it was a little streaky along the edges but the color itself was closer to my natural lip color, so I think it camouflaged some of the imperfections in application (which may be more apparent on someone with a more contrasting natural lip color).

The consistency was lightweight, smooth, and more like a gel-like cream, as it spread comfortably across my lips and felt plush to wear without being tacky. It wore well for four hours and was moisturizing over time. The formula is supposed to have “light to medium” or “medium to high pigment” based on the shade, which could be indicated more clearly via verbiage, but it is apparent in the model shots. On models, this shade looked more “medium to high” and that aligned with the semi-opaque coverage I achieved myself.
