ColourPop No Joke So Glassy Lip Gloss ($8.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a medium-dark, slightly warmed-up pink base with lighter pink shimmer throughout. It had semi-sheer to medium coverage from both the base and the shimmer coming together, which applied evenly and smoothly over my lips. The formula had a lightly tacky feel and was thicker than typical ColourPop gloss formulas, but it was smoothing of my lip lines. It stayed on well for four hours and was moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have an "ultra-glassy" finish that is "super comfy" to wear. The coverage was designed to be sheerer and packed with "prismatic pearls." They were smooth, comfortable to wear, and easy to apply as they weren't prone to settling into lip lines as much as most glosses.

The texture was lightly takcy and thicker than most of the brand's glosses, but they did deliver on the "ultra-glassy" shine. I couldn't feel the sparkles/shimmers when I pressed my lips together. The formula lasted four to five hours and was hydrating on me. They had a faint, vanilla-ish scent.

ColourPop Set Free So Glassy Lip Gloss ($8.00 for 0.2 oz.) had a subtly, gold-tinted base color that was packed full of multi-colored shimmer and sparkle, though it often was a mix of copper, greenish-gold, and pink. It was quite hypnotic in person as it was sparkly, glossy, and almost duochromatic with the way the shimmer shifted.

The consistency was smooth, light-medium in weight and feel, and had some tackiness present, though this ensured that the shimmers were not felt when I pressed my lips together. It wore well for four and a half hours and felt hydrating over time.
